Ceylon Tropics has officially entered the Bangladesh market, with its coconut oil products launched at Cosmetica Dhaka, a three-day cosmetics, skincare, and personal care exhibition held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Kuril.
The launch was led by Trade & Tie Chem Corporation, a Chattogram-based trading and distribution company that will serve as Ceylon Tropics’ sole distributor in Bangladesh. The company specializes in sourcing and distributing specialty chemicals and raw materials across sectors including food and nutrition, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and personal care.
Abdul Hamid, Owner and CEO of Trade & Tie Chem Corporation, confirmed that all required regulatory steps were completed ahead of the launch, including approval from the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI). As he put it, “We have completed all the necessary government procedures, including BSTI approval.” theshuttletimes
For this initial phase, one container of Ceylon Tropics products has been imported into the country, with distribution starting in Dhaka and Chattogram before expanding to other divisional cities. Products will be available through both physical retail outlets and online platforms.
This marks an important milestone for Ceylon Tropics as the brand continues to grow its presence beyond Sri Lanka, bringing its organic, ethically sourced coconut products to new markets across South Asia.
